High Tunnel Vegetable Production Meeting

Growing vegetables during the non-traditional growing season can be accomplished by using High Tunnels  According to D. Wayne Rowland, Agricultural and Natural Resources Technician with N.C. Cooperative Extension, Vance County Center, the High Tunnel Vegetable Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, October 31, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Vance County Regional Farmers Market located at 210 Southpark Drive in Henderson. If you are a farmer or small gardener wanting to learn about the production of vegetables in high tunnels, and ways to extend the vegetable growing season, this meeting will help you reach your season extension goals. During this meeting you will learn which vegetables grow well in high tunnels, insect and disease control when producing vegetables in high tunnels, and nutrient requirements for your high tunnel vegetables.
