Do you own land in rural North Carolina? Are you unclear exactly what you have and how it can be used for your or your community’s benefit? Resourceful Communities is hosting a training for qualified landowners. This workshop will cover the basics of landownership and will help you understand:
- Ownership structures
- Determining value
- Possible uses
- And more
Our workshop is offered at no-cost, but given our limited funding, we are asking interested participants to fill out a brief questionnaire to determine eligibility. Eligible participants must:
- Own land in Vance, Granville, Warren, Halifax, Franklin, or Northampton Counties.
- Submit a property address. (Resourceful Communities will use this to prepare maps and other property information for use during our workshop.)
- Limit participation to 2 people per address submitted.
At the end of this workshop, participants will have the tools and knowledge needed to make a basic assessment of the land holdings.
There is no cost to attend this workshop. However, all participants must be pre-registered.
Snacks and Lunch will be provided. Our caterer will do their best to accommodate meals. If you require a special diet, please be sure to bring something you can snack on.
A mileage allowance will be offered. 1 per car.
Overnight lodging is NOT offered for this event.
Generous support from The Duke Endowment makes this gathering possible.
