Backyard Barnyard

As we all try to adjust to our new lifestyles caused by COVID-19, N.C. Cooperative Extension is providing new ways for you to receive the research-based information you have always depended on from us. In an effort to provide this information safely, yet have some personal interaction, the N.C. Cooperaitve Extension, Granville/Person and Vance/Warren County Centers are collaborating on a series called Backyard Agriculture 101. This series is FREE and will be offered via the Zoom video conferencing platform. It will include topics such as: vegetable gardening, managing backyard poultry, small fruit production, managing small woodlots, small-scale livestock & pasture management, landscape basics, and IPM (bugs, weeds, and plant diseases). This is an 8-week “Zoom” series beginning Wednesday, April 15, 2020, and continuing each Wednesday through June 3 from 10–11:30 a.m. To see the full schedule with dates and time, and to register for this FREE series please visit http://go.ncsu.edu/BackyardAg101.
