Ready to get growing? Come learn research-based, sustainable gardening practices with N.C. Cooperative Extension, Durham County Center.

The Bull City Gardener Learning Series is a great way for home and community gardeners to learn new tips and tricks while reviewing the basics. This series is focused on helping you manage ornamental and edible gardens sustainably, all while improving soil health, reducing the use of fertilizers and pesticides, and creating native habitat. Class content is developed from the latest research in applied horticultural science from NC State Extension and other land grant institutions.

Class will be offered in two formats:

  • Bull City Gardener Virtual sessions are offered online, free of charge, and provide an in-depth look at a series of topics.
  • Looking for something more hands-on? Check out the Bull City Gardener Live! sessions for a demonstration-based session at Briggs Ave. Community Garden. Bull City Gardener Live! sessions have a ten-person limit.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR ALL CLASSES

Classes are taught by Extension Horticulture Agent Ashley Troth and the Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Durham County.
