'Let's Grow Together'
Community Garden at
Vance County Regional Farmers Market
What's a community garden?
A community garden is a collaborative space where neighbors come together to grow food and plants. Community gardens improve access to fresh, healthy food which helps people save money while boosting physical and mental well-being all while contributing to a stronger sense of community.
Why grow together?
Mission statement
Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive space that empowers our community to grow and access healthy, fresh foods. By addressing food system insecurity, we strive to enhance nutrition, improve community health, and foster a stronger sense of connection. Through collaboration, education, and sustainable practices, we aim to create a thriving garden that not only nourishes bodies but also strengthens relationships and builds a resilient, health-conscious community.
Hours
The garden is open to the public from dawn until dusk, 365 days a year!

How To Get Involved
Maintenance Committee
Our community garden thrives thanks to the dedication of our incredible volunteers, who contribute countless hours to maintain and nurture this vital space by being part of our Maintenance Committee. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers for their hard work and commitment and invite new volunteers to join us.
No special experience is needed, and everyone, regardless of skill level, is welcome to help us grow a healthier, more connected community. Your unique perspective and passion are what matter most!
The Maintenance Committee does not currently have regularly scheduled workdays. If you'd like to be involved, contact Michael Ellington maelling@ncsu.edu or (252) 438-8188
